What a studio waiver usually covers
A studio waiver is a short agreement a student signs before taking part. Most of them contain the same building blocks, and the generator above writes each one in plain language so you can keep the ones that fit your studio.
- Voluntary participation. The student chooses to take part and may stop or modify anything.
- Health confirmation. The student can exercise and will mention injuries or conditions.
- Assumption of risk. The student understands that movement classes carry a risk of injury.
- Release of liability. The student releases the studio from certain claims, within what the law allows.
- Optional parts. Hands-on adjustments, photo release, a parent or guardian for minors, and an emergency contact.
Collect signatures without paper
A waiver is only useful if you can find the signed copy. Ulumi has a built-in waiver: new students agree to it on their phone before their first booking, and Ulumi keeps the version they signed and shows you how many students have signed the current one. You can paste the text you built here into it.
Waiver rules differ by state and country, and courts look at how a waiver is written and used. Treat this as a starting point for a conversation with a local lawyer, not as the finished document.
