Cancellation and no-show policy

Plans change, and we understand. This is how we keep classes fair for everyone, including the person on the waitlist.

Cancel in time. Cancel at least 4 hours before class starts and nothing is lost: your spot goes back to the schedule and your class returns to your pack.

Late cancel or no-show. If you cancel inside that window, or you do not come and do not cancel, the class is used. Unlimited members get one courtesy each month; after that a $10 fee applies.

Arriving late. We close the door 10 minutes after the start so the room stays calm. If you arrive after that, the class counts as taken.

Real emergencies. If something truly unexpected happens, tell us as soon as you can. We decide case by case and we are happy to help.

Workshops and special events. These need more notice: cancel at least 48 hours ahead to get credit. After that there is no credit.

How to cancel. Open your booking page and tap Cancel on the class.

What a good studio cancellation policy says

A policy that students actually follow is short and specific. It answers four questions: how much notice is needed, what a late cancellation or no-show costs, what you do about lateness, and when you make exceptions. The generator above writes plain-language text for all four, so you only choose the numbers.

  • Notice window. Real studios use anything from about 4 hours to 24 hours for classes, and more for workshops.
  • Consequence. Losing the class is simplest for students on packs. A fee is the lever for unlimited members.
  • Exceptions. Write the principle ("we decide case by case"), not a list of excuses.

Show the short version where people book, and send it in the confirmation message. For the reasoning and real examples, read how to write a late-cancellation and no-show policy for your studio.

Questions
Is the policy legal advice?

No. It is a general template. Rules about fees and prepaid classes differ by state and country, so have a professional read the final text before you publish it.

Do you save what I type?

No. Everything stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to us and there is nothing to sign up for.

How many hours of notice should I choose?

Choose by how fast you can refill a spot. With a waitlist and same-day bookings, 3 to 4 hours is enough. For small classes that book out days ahead, 12 to 24 hours is fairer to you.

Should I charge a fee or take the class?

For students on class packs, taking the class is the simplest rule because they already paid. For unlimited members there is no class to take, so many studios use a courtesy first and a small fee after that.
